Tea

It's cool enough today that I wanted some tea. Some hot, green tea with cinnamon etc. It is a cloudy 85* and it rained yesterday. Oh, bliss.

The picture was taken in front of the infirmary (how wonderfully appropriate) of the school that Arundhati Roy's mother founded. It was amazing. I've noticed, while going through my pictures today, that my shoulders have been slouching in. This means that I'm exhausted. Lonely. Tired of India. If anyone has any good abroad-advice, I would appreciate it. As of now, I'm just planning on a night this week for pizza and a rented movie, if I can find a good one. And I'm drinking tea. (Not chai).

Do you have a prayerbook on you? I find prayers for assistance really good right about now. Tablet of Ahmad as well. And I try to remember that I won't be here forever, so I need to take advantage of these new experiences as much as possible (which I think you're doing beautifully!!).

Last night I turned out all the lights, lit some candles, picked a bouquet of flowers, put it in a vase next to the candles, got a good breeze going, and listened to some vintage Ani. . . . It's amazing what that can do for my spirits! (ok, that and finally talking to Mark helped me, but all this stuff put me in a good enough mood to approach him)

I have been getting to know you so much better through your blog, and I am really enjoying it. I can't wait until we are close enough to spend some time together - including 'feminist time' to bond like proper ladies should! [you know, we are on the same continent now, though!]

I love you, too, Kristen!

Tablet of Ahmad everyday, no matter what. It has kept me going. And I'm glad to hear that life has been better for you. I did the same thing (had an Ani night) a few weeks back. She can be absolutely necessary some times. I'm glad to know that you're enjoying the blog; I am, too. Although, I'm still trying to settle into it, find some sort of appropriate style. It's slow moving. : )

Darjeeling

Ah, my tea guru. Thank you. Thank you.

I don't have advice- sorry- but I have a tea question. Someone gave me black tea w/ soy milk and it curdled . . . why? Was it the soymilk, or was the tea not really black? It was golden honey darjeeling.
