Guess what? There is a new restaurant in Mentor . . .
and it is a sushi restaurant! Who would have thought?!?!? Maybe Northeast Ohio is ready for a noodle bar after all! Wouldn't that be great?!?
So the next time someone is in town, let's go there and check it out! I can't think of anyone here who would like to go with me . . . Oh no, of course. I'll go with Merry and let you know how it is.
PS I was going to try to put a link to an article in the News Herald, but they didn't include the article in their webpage.

Wel, what if it isn't any good? Don't you want me to scout it out first? Make sure it is good enough?

well, wouldn't that be a fun experience to share either way?

I remember Crystal, John, Mark and I went and checked out a Japanese steakhouse in Mentor (Hibachi). I got sushi and CHOKED on it the nori was so poorly prepared. Mark had a steak/fish combo - and man - on the way home I actually thought I'd run over a skunk...

Uh, that's not to say the Sushi restaurant won't be good - but like Rae says, either way, it may be so memorable!

Oh, ha, ha, ha, I remember the shark steak event! Oooo-eee! That was memorable, indeed.
Different restaurant. Here's the problem. I don't really know sushi, so I won't even know if it's good or not. And I think they serve more than just sushi. The name is Sumo Sam's. Not very promising, acutally, but it sounds less expensive than The Hibachi.

Cheap sushi in midwestern Ohio, hmmmmm... Avoid the blowfish.

Well, I stopped by yesterday and picked up a menu. My guess is that to get to this restaurant, we should go soon. I don't think it will last long.
Oh, by the way, did I tell you? The nice (but not too special) Chinese restaurant down by Family Foods (formerly known as IGA or, even more formerly, Bi-Rite) has changed hands. Daddy and I used to like to go there and did so about once a month. Well, we went to the new place and it is really terrible. I am really sorry to say that. We liked the former place quite well.
