I am hoping to put in a beech tree. Actually, right now would be a good time to do that. Trees are best transplanted in the fall as they go dormant. I have to get one. Maybe this coming weekend? When I have nothing else to do? Maybe I should wait for them to grind out the stump.

There was actually an audible intake of breath when I saw the first photo! It reminds my of the end of Shel Silversein's The Giving Tree.
