What does this say?

My grandfather gave my grandmother 100 Francs, with a note written on it in French.

When Mimi (my grandmother) was on her deathbed, she called my mother in and handed her this 100 Franc note and told her to keep it.

I'd really like to know what it says.

This is from Poppop or Charles? It says "this belongs to Brigitte, as does my heart". It looks like it's signed Charles.

Okay, I guess a better translation would be "belonging to Brigitte, as does my heart"

I think this is from Charles, otherwise Mimi would have given it to Maman much earlier or openly.

A frank message on a franc.

Yeah, sorry, it was just the 'grandfather' part that threw me off. Poppop is our grandfather.

You know, I wasn't quite sure from the story what Maman meant. I didn't know what to call him. I thought of writing "biological grandfather," but that sounded funny. Poppop is Poppop, so it felt clear.

Smoove D,

Is that you?!

-LtCol Ans

True . . . what do we call him?

Ooof, I should really put that call in to tante Corinne.

Matt Ans? Now a LtCol? You poor bastard. I'm so sorry.

Yeah, this is Smoove. Drop me an email; I'm nathan@dornbrook.com.

Where are you? Are you in Europe somewhere? I remember you were angling for a FAO position in Estonia.

The most complicated thing is to discover a blog with specialized and current content but i think you offer something distinctive. Keep blogging.

You totally deserve a round of applause for your post and in particular, your site in general. Excellent article.

I'll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

I was just seeking this information for some time. After six hours of continuous Googleing, at last I got it in your site. I wonder what's the lack of Google strategy that do not rank this type of informative web sites in top of the list. Usually the top web sites are full of garbage.

I like what you guys are up too. Such smart work and reporting! Keep up the excellent works guys I have incorporated you guys to my blogroll. I think it'll improve the value of my web site :)

I think this really takes me back, like your blog design too. Is it DPW? ok, good job!

Interesting point of view. Thanks for the post. July 4. Statistics show that we lose more fools on this day than in all the other days of the year put together. This proves, by the number left in stock, that one fourth of July per year is now inadequate, the country has grown so. Mark Twain 1835 1910

You make some good points. I guess it depends on your standpoint. You can live to be a hundred if you give up all the things that make you want to live to be a hundred. Woody Allen Born 1935
