We're Back! Well, mostly anyway. I got into everyone's comments, but still don't seem to be able to figure out posting a new entry. It may be the 'new interface', but, well, I still couldn't figure it out. But it is good to be back. Well, off I go to make comments on everyone else's blog.
Love to you all.
I don't know why I'm so grateful. perhaps it's the starvation that I've been suffering. Whatever will I do when I go home for the summer and have to use dial up?
Nae, I am really grateful that you were willing to abandon your pursuit of debauchery to turn your efforts towards reuniting the family. I know it was a big sacrifice, but we are all so grateful.
Maman, allow me to encourage you to get DSL. If you get DSL, Mendon and I will be able to fix many of your computer problems remotely, across the Internet. This would be a vast improvement.
And it's very satisfying to get everything working again and see the family posting. The blogs brought us closer together than I thought they would; they're great, and it's nice to see that we're still a family, in spite of the fact that we seem to range across continents.
Now we just need to send someone to Antarctica. Any volunteers?
May I interject? The rest of the world only considers 5 continents - not including Antarctica - though there is Australasia. Let's not overdo it.
Secondly, Nannie - DSL would greatly facilitate our ability to communicate by webcam (we're about to get broadbrand ourselves) - and using Skype for long distance phone calls. And if you get the wonderful Mac Mini than that would even facilitate our use of the webcams even more - as Mac to Mac webcamming is easy and has great clarity (just get the iSight as your webcam).
Though I admire the elegance of the Mac Mini, I don't think I am in the market for a new computer (though Daddy would say differently!) I am, however, going to get DSL next week when Mensch comes home. I'll let everyone know when it is operational.
Wow, reading this in facade ebony is outrageously impossible for the feeble-eyed papa.
However, I did catch the 'I'm guessing papa isn't going to read this comment' comment about what I think of Maman's 'pooter! It will be different having something faster than flatbed dirt to get online tho'. And for that I am exceedingly pleased! So there! Any ideas on best buys for an ethernet card? Or a good buy on flatscreen monitor lizards? Thanks....only a week to go!

Here's a problem: the front page now seems to undercount the comments by one. Check it out for yourself....

Looks like it's undercounting the number of comments by a couple. Dinny ken why; this is one to refer to SixApart.

Mensch, I am on the verge of getting DSL. Maybe you can 'encourage' me during Spring Break. Yes! That Close!

NO! No, and no! Please, not Antarctica. It is so damn hard to get there. (Been there, done that!)
Posted by: Maman | March 8, 2005 2:21 PM
And I don't think they have DSL there.
Posted by: Maman | March 8, 2005 2:21 PM
yeah, I'll do the Antarctica thing. I've always wanted to hit all seven!
