Taking the Increments

Well, my mother has now gotten up out of bed several times. She sat in a chair with me yesterday for about 20 minutes. And since she's going to the bathroom on her own now, too, I imagine she's gotten up at least once again since we left her yesterday evening.

Soon they'll take her off her morphine-derivative access (she pushes a button to get more), so I imagine the next couple of days are going to be just oh-so-much-fun.

Nathan arrives today - the sooner the better for me. We need to get some groceries. I just can't do the cafeteria food and $2 for a bottle of water, and all I seem to bring with me is applesauce and a banana. It's my mother who's on the liquid diet, not me. I need to start eating, but complex mealish stuff doesn't look very appealing to me right now. I've been eating salad in the cafeteria, but that really only goes so far.

I also should find myself a sim chip for my cell phone so that I can use it locally. I went to Radio Shack yesterday and they clearly didn't have a clue that you could buy a sim chip without the cell phone.

Well, I best be off.

Cheers to another day.

Well it's been very good catching up with Stephanie's health on your weblo, Mara. Charlotte and I had prayed for her health at the Shrine (Maxwell home) in Montreal (as well as before and after, of course). You may convey to her that she is still in our thoughts and prayers. Also, I was hoping to visit your parents around Christmas, so I'm hoping that can still work out. Of course, I hate missing Mendon and Kristin's wedding

My prayers are with you Mara - sjo

Thank you, Danio & Sjo. D - my parents will be so pleased, I'm sure. My mother was hoping to get prayers from every continent :-)

And stupid me, turns out you can't get a sim chip in the States without buying a phone! GRR!

Mara!
It's Ian! Whoa. Weird?
Well Mercy has gotten me hooked on your blog over the last month. Surprise!
You didn't see it coming either, right? Yea! Same here! Boy, life's funny. I know.
Ok. Let's be honest. We don't chat each others ears off constantly.
But wouldn't you agree that ever since the day we walked aimlessly in a park and talked of the F.B.I. it seems like we've had an understanding?
Well alls I know is I believe it's not strange that I learned something about sim "chips" last week and here you are this week blogging about them. That's normal. I think.

What I was told about them is that they can be "gotten" in the U.S. of America thru certain, shall we say, "channels".

(I'll put the url in that url box.)

The particular one you need must be available somewhere. So don't give up!

Also, seeing as this comment is getting a little wordy, I'm giving up.

Love Always,
ian.

Ha! After all that i put the wrong link.
silly. ok, if you froogle the search: buy sim card cell
they'll pop right up.
i.

You mean to tell me Mercy is reading my blog? Mercy! I had no idea!!

Thanks, Ian. Good to hear from you. I'll check out froogle for sim cards.
