Shipment
Our shipment from Israel is due to arrive in about an hour.
It's a good thing we've been cleaning out the house, but I still don't know how we're going to fit it in this house. As my mother told the crew from Discovery Channel - the house, the whole house, is 20 by 40 (that's feet). At least it's mostly small items, such as books, blankets, and artwork - no furniture.
30 January. Update: After a day of trying to track down our shipment, it has been revealed that the truck broke down yesterday. We don't know where, but not here that's for sure. I'm a bit irritated that we had to track them down and not vice versa; however, I have to think back to Israel - my point of view if this had happened there, well, probably would have been a ... shall we say, "different". Too bad. I was beginning to have visions of supporting ourselves off the money from the shipping company after their employee ran off with our valuables.

Yes, it will be interesting. I can't wait to get home tonight. Of course, I may make it before the shipment, judging by our last conversation. Do you think maybe we should build a balcony? (heheehe)

Well, a day later and still no shipment. I hope nothing is broken, too, but I don't count on it. Now I just want it to arrive!

Glad yours arrived. My shipment (sent the day before yours, as Mark WELL knows :-)) got to the country on the 5th, believe it or not, but I was stuck in California and couldn't deal with it. Now I'm home in California and am going to ask for delivery this week. Did the actual delivery go smoothly?

Yes, it went smoothly, Leili. I don't know whether we used the same shippers, but everything was very well packed. We haven't unpacked everything, as we're still just staying with my parents, but we did go through all the boxes and found nothing broken. The delivery, once they got to our house, was about 20 minutes. They put down a blanket so they didn't track in snow, counted all the "pieces" to make sure everything was there and then left.
So, are you living in California now?
