It's been a long time
It's been a long time since I posted on the blogs. Sorry for the absence. Just life being busy, not really accomplishing anything, just busy.
This last week, I tested our family's ability to reach each other quickly. We have some weak spots in the system and should all work to identify the weak spots and fix them.
On my part, I have identified that I need a long distance card that will call overseas and that I need to get the sound on my computer working again. Rachael, I would like you to get a way to call over seas, as well. You can buy skype dollars and then call a phone from your computer. Mara and Mensch, it would nice to be able to leave messages.

Yeah, I've thought about that during my time here. Thing is, I know I wouldn't get many messages and the machines here are silly expensive. And now I only have 6 months left here. However, what I could do is give you my cell phone number, which does have voice mail.

That might be a good idea. I found it quite frustrating to not be able to reach you. I know we can always email, and that works pretty well, but not all conversations work in email.

having Skype dollars wouldn't have helped- my internet was down. Plus, why bother. Everyone overseas I want to talk to has Skype. Also, it wouold be nice to be able to leave you a message when you are on the other line/internet!

I think Maman's reasoning is that if we don't have our Skype on, then you can't get ahold of us anyway.
Rae, if you haven't seen "In Her Shoes" yet, do. It's a really good movie, and I wholeheartedly think you'd enjoy it (besides, it's about sisters!).

Everybody knows that you can leave a message for me at kristen's room. I am there enough to get them. I refuse to pay $12 for the ability to check my messages for less than a month.

Mendon's other message machine consists of post it notes on his door. Also effective.
Whine again: I hate how hard it can be to find mendon! Plus, I dislike that he makes all of his return phone calls in my room. Grr. . .

Rae, I still need you to have a way to get a hold of Mara and Nae. I don't really care how you do it, but please put something in place. Everyone in the family needs to be able to contact everyone else in the family at any time.
