Rachael's Birthday Wig-Hat

Rachel's wig-hat.jpg

The good news is that I got them loaded. The bad news is that these may be the last pictures you ever see out of my camera. I dropped it in the toilet! (Don't ask -- too stupid!) I took the memory stick out and the battery and have left it to dry. Let's hope for the best.

Thank you! Now the world shall be forever, young, and humorous, and PINK! Did I ever tell you the story of Little Pinky Locks and the the three cars?
Perhaps I'll save that one for another time.

There is a book with great grayness, great blueness, great redness. Hmmm. Can't recall if there was a great pinkness.anyone who can help here?

The TOILET?!?!

I'm not asking. Just exclaiming. Oh my goodness.

Okay, I'll tell so youall don't imagine the worst. We had just come back from Louis and Amy's wedding. I was on my way to the computer with the camera to download the photos from the last day or so. But, . . . wait! there is something sticking in my teeth! I hate that! Must get it out right away! Detour to the bathroom. Where to put the camera? Not too close to the sink, too much like water. I know, how about the back of the toilet. Reach for the floss. Ah -- relief, got the bugger out. Good, now reach for the camera, fine got a hold of it. Oops, the case is open! I have a hold of the case, not the camera! Oooooohhh, Nooooooooo! Aaahhhhhh! Camera sinks into the (clean) toilet, lights blinking as it sends out a distress signal! Dive in and rescue the camera, whip it open, remove the battery and memory stick!
Now it is sitting on the window sill of the dining room, drying out. I am hoping that the damage isn't permenant, but I'm really not too optimistic. If the lights hadn't come on, I think it would have been better, but I'm afraid that it might have shorted out. I'm going to give it about a week.

I assumed it was something like that, but what an awful fate for a camera.

the fella whose laptop got soaked in the rain and was turned on the next day did eventually rcover. I hope your camera finds a similar fate.
