Tony's Table on Castle Street, Edinburgh

Right. This was going to be just a one word review (that word is "don't") but in the spirit of Spinal Tap, I think a two word review is in order.

Shit Sandwich.

You're better off with a dog's breakfast. Really.

The limp offerings include some kind of deep fried black pudding purported to contain pig's feet, but there was no evidence to back this, at least in my friend's entree.

His wife's rice/veg/fish dish was student food.

And the cassoulet was a tragedy. It was dry.

Contemplate what you have to do in the kitchen to end up with a dry cassoulet.

At any rate, don't go to Tony's Table.

Heeheehee. I think your friends should eat at crappy restaurants and have you blog about their experiences more frequently. This is pure awesome.

At least you didn't choke on someone else's vomit. They can't really dust for that...

Speaking of Spinal Tap, They are touring this year. The "Unwigged and Unplugged" tour features all three: Guest, McKeon, and Shearer. I'm going in May when they come through town.

The most important question, though, is whether the radicchio had gone to seed.

Technically, BJ, *we* are going to Spinal Tap.

Nathan, we've got extra tickets looking to unload if you feel like a swing back through the States!

I ate there once myself a long time ago. At that time we called it something else. I think it was "breakfast" at college.

Hey, folks!

Okay, first off I am so jealous of BJ and Mer going to see Spinal Tap. Mer, I would love to come. I'll check my calendar. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to be here; the new company is now growing - which is good, because that means a bigger payout later - but takes time to handle and manage.

Second, about the friend visits a restaurant and I put up his commments thing...my friend doesn't want his actual name in the press, but really wanted to share with the world how awful this place was. So I posted it.

If you didn't like Tony's Table then you should defo try The Tower. It is truely first class. In particular they have the best steak chef in town.
