Do not smoke! It's bad for me!

I just wrote a harshly vituperative unpublished blog about smokers. My point is this, it upsets me when smokers indulge themselves in public where people who are trying to better themselves (i.e. runners) are forced to consume toxic chemicals because someone else is either being negligent or purposefully miscreant. Please help our smoking brethren to understand that short of swallowing their cigarette (or other paraphernalia), they are being utterly inconsiderate of the well-being of others. While it is not an open threat, I wouldn't be surprised if, one day, a gang of incredibly healthy runners begin kidnapping and severely beating smokers in order to preserve their running territory. If it happens to you, I warned you.

P.s. if you're interested in the venomous fulmination that I composed earlier, you may peruse it at your request.

I get especially upset when smokers light up in public places around children, such as the playground.

I was a smoker once and I didn't realize what it was doing to me let alone others. Tese folks are so addicted they do not know reality. It is not an excuse for them. Yelling doesn't do much good. Too bad they don't get sicker sooner. The children and others they affect are very many. for each one million smokers who are out there, there are four who will become very ill or die from the association of cigarette smoke inhalation. We are on the brink of an epidemic of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(emphysema and bronchitis) in America.COPD will be a hughe problem in the near future. So I agree that smokers need to be more considerate of others. Starting with a no smoking zone around any child for 300 feet would be a good thing.

I grew up in a house full of smoke. Inconsiderate smokers anger me as well. I unfortunately used to smoke, but even then I worked hard to keep it to myself. Now that I've been smoke-free for close to a year, I am extra bothered by smokers. I was so excited that my mother quit smoking around the same time I did and she was a smoker for 35 years. However, my father is still smoking and continues to do so in the house right in front of her. My mother is not only breathing that stuff, but she's at risk of starting up again. Grrrrr. It's also hard to look forward to visiting them, knowing that I will be hacking the whole time.
