Actually. The cartoon stems from www.gapingvoid.com. I wrote the cartoon after Kristen did a series here at home about two peas in a pod. Not so ironically, they hate one another (it's really funny.) Her style was clearly influenced by Drew over at www.toothpastefordinner.com. Her cleverness made me want to mock the style of another online cartoonist. Except that Nathan doesn't really read the blogs, I figured that he'd post on this about it being a hilarious parody of hugh's work.

Yeah, I miss Nae too. I mentioned to him that he had been sort of absent. He gave me a lame excuse. He could still read the blogs and comment from time to time. He is having way too much fun! (Do I sound jealous?)

I like your cartoon. Especially because I know how much/little sex we have/don't have and I'm not left to my imagination, plus, I's pretty certain that when we are intimate that I don't inspire visions of cross-hatching nor anything to do with Jim Croce (I laugh because Roller Derby Queen comes to mind :) I'm also impressed with your ability to mock Hugh's style with only paint to work with. (Ick.) Plus, rumor has it that even Hugh himself admires the work. ; )

I love it. It's a great send up of Hugh's style, and he needs to be sent up, the great pompous ass.
