My Scanner is Not So Good
However, my sister is a cutie patootie!
This is a picture that was taken at least 3 years ago by our friend George, who arrived at the Baha'i World Centre at the exact same time as me. Know how I know? We drove in to Haifa from the airport together!
And he's been promising me this photo ever since!!!!

Yes, RaeRae is a cutie patootie as you say. And George is living in Haifa? What is a patootie anyway? Is it kind of like a wazoo? Or does it imply something above wonderfully interesting, unique and loveable all wrapped up in one as I imagine it is? If so I really like her being a patootie in and of itself. Cutie simply adds to it then. Therby we may all agree indeed. Rachael is a cutie patootie.

Rae is definitely as cute as a button.

Who is George and when/where did he take this picture?

George is one of those people who is sort of from everywhere (Netherlands, Romania, Colombia amongst them). The pictures (there are others) are from a College Club Weekend at Louhelen, i think. If I recall, Rae was one of the major planners of it. George was taking pictures for the Youth Desk.
Rae, do you remember him? He's about to get married - to a Filipina, no less! :-)

Hey, Mara, just a sidenote: your blog is very clean. I like the layout. Did you do it yourself?

I want to say he was a volunteer at Louhelen, possibly when I lost my glasses w/ Mensch- but those were diff. glasses so this is probably a diff. george who I would remember if I saw a photo.

Nae? Are you crazy? heheheh - no, it's just one of the standard templates. I chose it because it isn't narrowed down at all.
Rae, I'll see if I can get a picture. He's a fairly tall, medium build guy w/ blonde hair and glasses (i.e. he looks like he's from the Netherlands!!) :-)

mara, you're going to think this is irrelevant, and i would be sorry about posting on the subject of toothbrushes under a picture of your sister, but i see that you're commenting on the physique of george, so i'm not. sorry.
do you remember when you and mark came back from holiday and you posted about not remembering which was your toothbrush? well maybe it's because i might have swapped their places. one night i went to brush my teeth and there was a great fat spindly cockroach squatting on the bristles of one of the toothbrushes (i honestly don't remember which of ours) so i decided to boil them all. and i didn't memorize their positions beforehand. so i might have swapped them.
that's all. i remembered this last night for some reason.

Wow. That is oh-so-comforting. Ick. Fortunately we have moved on from those toothbrushes, boiled or not.
Yeah, we've got to do a super overhaul of the house before it gets too warm in an attempt to avoid the massive summer invasion of insects.
Last week Mark exclaimed, "wow, Phoenix has been without rain for 142 days." Some quick figuring and I realized - that's about how long we go without rain here EVERY SINGLE SUMMER. I H-A-T-E the summers here. No doubt about it. There's no "strong dislike" of them. I hate them with a vengeance. And I was so, so, so excited about not having to live through another one.

how are you feeling about having to live through another one, now? i know that they are terrors from the very furnace of hell while i'm living through them --- sometimes --- but right now i can't remember feeling anything other than sweaty.
