Spring is here OBOY !

I eat apple sauce as part of my meals at work. It comes in small plastic cups that I use every spring to start my indoor seeds to plant when there is no longer a threat of frost outdoors. this year I have started my patio tomatoes(6 cups), yellow straight neck summer squash(several), and the green variety of zucchinis. The tomatoes are up and having to be turned each day as they reach for the sunlight through the window. The squash only went in this week so they need a bit more time to sprout. I need to get some eggplant seeds to start this week too. Oh I do enjoy my gardening and this year feels early in its land use capabilities. Mmmmmmm! I love my garden and eating all the freshness it produces. I ate out of it right up into November last year. I get fresh green beans, wax beans, tomatoes, spinach, carrots, edible pod peas, two kinds of raspberries, blueberries, and red currants to beat the band. Browsing is one of my favorite pastimes when the garden is in. I can still see Mommy in her silk bathrobe out in the garden in early mornings picking her breakfast fruits and snatching a pea pod or two on the way back into the house.
What kind of gardening do you do? I wonder.

I have plans! I really do!

I ordered a flat of marigolds from the neighborhood boy scout to put in the back. David & his wife are reserving some tomato and basil starters that they've got going just for me. I'd like to plant some mint, too.

Is there a grass out there that needs practically no mowing? I want that back space to be playable for Liam, but heavens, wouldn't it be silly to have to figure out going about mowing it? (ain't gonna buy a lawn mower, that's for sure!)

There are grasses that say they only grow to 3" but they usually are very coarse to the touch.Azozia is one of them. If you don't want to mow then you have to hand clip it. It would take about an hour or more on your knees to do that. Who mows the front yard? Couldn't you pay them to do it?

Yeah, I want Liam to be able to play on it!

My roommmate has offered me a little space in the yard for growing things, but I haven't decided if I have the time with all the field work I will be doing this summer. I have acquired more houseplants indoors, which makes me happy as I was never able to keep them alive in a dorm room with so much going-back-and-forth and breaks. Even if I don't grow anything myself, the Lawrence farmer's market starts up this weekend, and my coworkers and friends are usually very generous with the products of their gardens. I cannot wait--it is almost time for asparagus, yum yum yum.

Oooooh asparagus. It is sooo good broiled. It is also very nice to hear from the Hayley, yessss precious!
Sooo, you have indoor plants! Start some veggies indoors.
Window boxes are great for herbs. I like thyme, and basil, and rosemary They make a tasty mouthful along with a fresh sun warmed grape tomato. Yummy, yumyum.
I also like to lie out in the warm sun and am eager for it to arrive this year here in Mentor.

I planted some rose from my neighbors, four bushes. They have survived the transplant and are beginning to grow and form new buds. Our neighbors plant in our garden, and we share the produce. Romaine, dill, parsley and time. I'd like to plant some mint as well. PErhaps next year.

When I went to school I stayed in the Dorms. I think they are the most fun place to stay there. Some people rent houses, but I still don't think that is the way to go.

I have come across that currently, more and more people are being attracted to digital cameras and the field of picture taking. However, being a photographer, you must first expend so much time deciding which model of camera to buy along with moving out of store to store just so you might buy the lowest priced camera of the brand you have decided to choose. But it won't end at this time there. You also have to consider whether you should buy a digital dslr camera extended warranty. Thanks a lot for the good suggestions I accumulated from your weblog.

Nice post hope the site is going well have you bookmarked so ill be back soon
