Skillful Creamery

Mara, look! I have a new and improved barf shirt!! Ha ha. Lauren is here visiting and we went shopping. I saw that shirt and had to have it. For those of you who are confused, I used to have a shirt similar in pattern to this one in the photo and at first I HATED it. I called it the barf shirt and later absolutely loved it. This seems to be a pattern that occurrs every now and then in my world of likes and dislikes.

We've had many many visiters and will likely have more this month. It is the time of spring breaks. It is nice to be so loved! Lauren and I went to an awesome art museum near the mall. It had a neato quilt exhibit and some awesome and powerful art. One artist explored her Christian Pakistani, French Jewish cultural heritage(She grew up in San Salvidore) through photos that overlapped and through also putting images on pieces of cloth that her grandmother had owned. It was fascinating. This museum also had a room transferred once from Paris to New York and then to DC...Yes, you heard me correctly, a room-with a painting on the cieling! Come to DC and I will show you!

Oh yeah...I also made an incredible meal last night of polenta, chicken adn noodles w/ marinara. I wasn't feeling well (which has been true since I started working with children) and for some reason my body convinced me that working out at the gym would make me feel much, much better. I did feel better for about twenty minutes until I threw up in the shower -yeah...gross! Intetestingly enough...the yellow polenta and the red tomatoes completely resembled the color combination in my barf shirt...perhaps inspiring today's purchase ...possibly inspired by my previous shirt...so, yeah...that was the prettiest barf I've ever seen.
