? - denotes that I ran but failed to record the time. In this case, it was a little over half an hour, maybe 40 minutes.
Good for you! I appreciate your honesty. Good luck in your continued efforts.

I'm sure Daddy is giving you all sorts of good long distance running tips :-)
Posted by: Mara at June 27, 2006 3:55 AMActually, they came from me. I took a class in preparing for a marathon before doing the Johnnycake Jog last year, and I gave Mensch the book. Weeeeell, Daddy may have given him some tips, too.
Posted by: ma at June 27, 2006 8:04 AMActually, Daddy gave me all sorts of good running tips when I started running. But he's really a long distance sprinter not a long distance runner. Maman's book, plus the weight lifting class, plus the positive psych class all contributed greatly.
Hey, Rae, is there something about which I should not be honest? Oh, and, it's good to hear that you're house hasn't been washed away (why would it have been, anyway?).
Posted by: Mendon at June 27, 2006 8:45 AMWe've had constant heavy rains for four days and the end is finally in view tomorrow. I've been lucky in terms of commuting and flooding. Many people's basements/ rooves have flooded/leaked. I'm glad we got a new roof last year! The rivers and creeks in the area are flooded and three major buildings in downtown DC have been closed due to flooding. A big old tree fell over at the White House- presumably because the ground was so mushy. Mudslides blocked areas of 95/495- can you imagine the traffic nightmares? Eric and I are lucky in our commute- but even bits of route one were flooded.
