Ingredients
3 Tbsp 100% pure cocoa powder (look at the ingredients, what's there? there should be one word, Cocoa. If there are two or more words, it isn't pure. Go back to the store!)
2 Tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla (either pure extract or imitation, it's better with the extract and you know it!)
1 Ghirardelli 60% dark square (or one Dove dark in a pinch/Haifa)
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 Tbsp butter
I have been experimenting with chocolate beverages since we went to the Max Brenner's in Haifa. If you don't like this recipe, I will return every penny that you've paid me to subscribe to my blog, this is a limited time offer! ACT NOW! As soon as I start charging to subscribe to my blog, this offer will EXPIRE!
Do not throw these things into a sauce pan and hope for the best, it will cause you a lot of trouble.
1. Melt the butter and the Ghirardelli chocolate square in a sauce pan on low heat
Serve and enjoy. Makes 1/2 a serving.

Oooph.
Posted by: Kristen at April 28, 2006 1:35 AMSounds yummy! And very not something I should ever indulge in! I have gained back the weight I lost with surgery, chemo and radiation and am in danger of not stopping the process! I have to start being careful after almost six months of unbridled indulgence.
Posted by: ma at April 28, 2006 9:33 AMDoes this mean, Maman, that you have a bunch of size 10 summer clothes you don't know what to do with? :-D
(hint: daughter in Haifa wears size 10 and sent all of her summer clothes to reside at your house because she is just a tad obsessively organized!)
Posted by: Mara at April 28, 2006 10:21 AMMensch, based on a diet of honey and chocolate doesn't this contain 100% of the Vitamin A, Vitamin C, B6 and B12 recommended? As in, based on a diet of honey and chocolate - this recipe meets the needs of the absolute lack of all of the above things?!
Posted by: mara at April 28, 2006 11:03 AMHoney is very rich in vitamins, thank you very much.
Posted by: Mendon at April 28, 2006 12:08 PMNo, Mara, what it means is that I have bought a bunch of size 10 pants and I want to stay in them. Okay, so I'm 5 pounds less than I was before surgery. I think if them as my buffer.
Posted by: ma at April 28, 2006 2:11 PMWell, she is buffer than before so what's the big deal. Chocolate is good for your heart and soul: in moderation of course. The heart and soul need chocolate in a multitude(defined as a myriad) of formulae. This one sounds just riche enuff for a size fourteen pair of pants that's all.
