While I'm at it, I would like to share with you something that shocked me greatly today. I picked up the "Miami Voice" (the College Republican's paper... you can tell because the title is a cheap ripoff of the more prestigious paper, the Miami Student [think Washington Post and Washington Times and the New York Times and the New York Post]) today and read an article that was titled, "Why Sweatshops are Moral."
You did, indeed, read that correctly. The article asserted that because workers who are employed by sweatshops function in a system of fair exchange for their labor that sweatshops are actually an economic benefit to them and their nations. Sweatshops are a gift to the poor and impoverished, giving them a "way out" of nothing.
I picked up the paper to find out what the republicans had to say. I had no idea that there were people as A) callous and B) unthinking to actually write such a paper. It makes me both gain and lose hope that Baha'u'llah can help the world. On one hand, it certainly needs the help, on the other, I think that the world might have too much wax in its ears. It's the same story for every religion, I guess we need some sort of event that is a worldwide Q-Tip(tm).

Have you ever noticed that whenever anyone asks you if you have wax in your ears, they ask it too quickly to be understood, thus eliciting, "what?" That bugs me. Self-fulfilling prophecy designed to make Kristen look insensitive... *shaking my head*.
