The Shrine of the Bab contains the remains of both the Bab, the precursor to Baha'u'llah, as well as those of 'Abdu-l Baha, the son of Baha'u'llah. We this from our apartment, as well as the 19 terraces (of gardens) above and below it. I feel so lucky to be able to be here and go to the shrines. I am learning so much about what it means to be a spiritual person.
Otherwise known as "my office" :-) I work on the third, and top, floor in the rotunda (meaning I work right inside the dome - not that you can see it).
We were walking throught the ruins of the Palace, the area where they used to hold chariot and horse races. Behind me is a striation of 200,000 years of history!
This building is, besides the more important things that go on here, where our cafeteria, grocery store, bookstore, and auditorium are located.
I don't know if you can see it, but he's actually standing on a column...
So, here I am, in my new home - Israel... at least for the next two years. My hubby has just joined me - yay!
